We have worked extensively with our main ‘local’ publisher, Cambridge University Press, as well as other university presses and tertiary level academic publishers. Understanding the market – and keeping costs down – are two important facets of producing titles for the tertiary sector.
In many cases we have been asked to work on tertiary/trade crossover titles where an extensively academic title is opened up to a broader audience.
Hart McLeod is especially proud of its design work, not least in the thousands of covers we have created over the past decade.
This Quercus title, Beyond the infinite, epitomised the need to make the text and design work together in bringing an essentially complex subject matter to a wider audience.

Although some of our work on editing the Norton edition of the Bible probably counts as our most prestigious title we were very pleased to work on two editions (including the latest) of David Crystal’s The Cambridge Encyclopaedia of Language. Our tasks included text and cover design as well as layout, photo collection and artwork.
